Aberavon Rugby Club are delighted to announce the signing of prop forward Jayden Maybank, who joins the Wizards ahead of the upcoming season.

Maybank, known for his dominance in the set piece, is excited to make the Talbot Athletic Ground his new home.

“Aberavon is the best club for my development,” said Maybank. “Jason gave me a call and asked if I wanted to join – it was an easy decision. The lads are a good bunch, hard-working, and I’m looking forward to getting stuck in. I hope to bring real dominance to the set piece this season.”

A self-described “out and out scrummager,” Maybank has also set his sights on improving his phase play involvements and bringing silverware back to the club.

Head Coach Jason Hyatt is equally enthusiastic about the new addition:

“Jayden is a natural fit for our squad. His scrummaging ability is second to none, but he’s also hungry to develop other areas of his game. He’ll bring power, resilience, and a great work ethic to the team – both on and off the pitch. We know the fans will enjoy watching him in action.”

Maybank’s arrival forms part of the club’s ongoing recruitment strategy, strengthening key positions and building a squad capable of challenging for honours in the season ahead.

Aberavon supporters can look forward to seeing Maybank in the famous red and black, anchoring the scrum and providing the platform for the Wizards’ attacking game.
