Everyone at Aberavon RFC would like to take a moment to thank George Merritt and wish him the very best of luck as he heads off to Australia on 19th January to begin an exciting new chapter in his life and rugby journey.

George has been an exceptional player for the Wizards, making 11 appearances for the club. During his time with us, he consistently went above and beyond, making significant logistical sacrifices just to pull on the Aberavon jersey and represent the crest with pride.

His commitment, attitude and contribution both on and off the field have been greatly appreciated by players, coaches and supporters alike.

We wish George all the very best with his travels, his new adventure, and the next steps in his rugby career.
