The wait is over.
While supporters already knew the dates for the final block of the 2026/27 Super Rygbi Cymru season, we can now reveal exactly who Aberavon RFC will face as the race for silverware reaches its conclusion.
With the league campaign wrapped up before Christmas, attention turns to the SRC Cup, where every game carries added significance and every result has the potential to shape the season.
For a club celebrating its 150th anniversary, the challenge could not be clearer.
January Fixtures Confirmed
Aberavon will begin the cup campaign with two huge fixtures:
Saturday 23 January
Aberavon v Bridgend
A familiar rivalry to open the competition. Encounters between the Wizards and Bridgend rarely disappoint, and with knockout ambitions on the line from the very first round, supporters can expect a fiercely contested battle at the Talbot Athletic Ground.
Saturday 30 January
Llandovery v Aberavon
A week later, the Wizards travel west to face one of Welsh rugby’s most consistent performers. Trips to Church Bank are never straightforward, making this one of the toughest tests of the cup schedule.
February Brings More Big Challenges
Saturday 6 February
Aberavon v Ebbw Vale
Ebbw Vale visit the TAG in what promises to be another physical encounter between two ambitious SRC sides. Home support could prove crucial as the competition begins to take shape.
Saturday 13 February
Pontypool v Aberavon
The final pool fixture sees Aberavon travel to Pontypool. By this stage, qualification places may well be on the line, adding even more importance to a fixture that already carries plenty of intensity.
Eyes on March
The ultimate goal is simple.
Saturday 6 March – Cup Semi-Finals
Saturday 20 March – Cup Final
The route is now mapped out, but nothing will be given. Four demanding pool fixtures stand between Aberavon and a place in the semi-finals, with every point, every tackle and every moment carrying added importance.
