New Chapter for Joe Gage

Aberavon Rugby Club are delighted to announce the appointment of Joe Gage as our new Media & Team Operations Coordinator.

After over a decade representing the Wizards on the field, Joe now begins a new chapter off it.

A player, leader and current club captain, Joe has given everything to the red and black jersey across the last 10 years. Following his recent retirement from playing due to injury, we are incredibly pleased that his journey with the club will continue in this important new role.

Head Coach Chris Davies said:

“Joe is a fantastic character and somebody who understands exactly what this club is about.

He is very savvy with his ideas, has a brilliant understanding of people and culture, and is a strong club person through and through.

After everything he has given to Aberavon over the last 10 years as a player and captain, there is no one better than Joe to take on this role.

We are delighted that his journey with the club continues.”

As Media & Team Operations Coordinator, Joe will play a vital role across the club’s day-to-day operations, supporting players and staff, coordinating logistics and helping drive the club’s digital and social media output.

Joe’s passion for the club, understanding of our standards and connection with supporters make him a huge addition to our future both on and off the field.

And to make the announcement even more fitting, today also marks Joe’s 30th birthday.

Everyone at Aberavon Rugby Club would like to wish Joe a fantastic birthday and congratulate him on his new role.

Once a Wizard, always a Wizard 🔴⚫️
