We are sad to learn of the passing of our former player Dennis Curling. As a try scoring wing he switched codes to play rugby league for Warrington in 1972 scoring 35 tries for them in 132 games, he was also capped by Wales RL. He was forced to retire from the game in 1977 due to a very serious neck injury sustained whilst playing for Warrington.

In his Aberavon days playing on the wing he scored 7 tries in the first Welsh Cup game played in November 1971 when we played Nantymoel. That remains a club record to this day.
